VIDEO - The Tradition Lives On

For over 60 years, the Lybarger and Amsden family have had a tradition of decorating Christmas Cookies. Well, this year, the tradition continued as Meg and I expanded the cookie decorating to Los Angeles.

Here's a brief highlight video of the continuing tradition!

  3. The fact that you had football cookies in the midst of all of the "traditional" cookie icons warms my heart.

  5. Randi, I thought you'd like those. The cut-out design was actually a holly leaf, but while baking, they blew up to a football shape. So, we thought; why not? Let's celebrate the true American sport!

Anonymous, (whoever you may be...LOL), we take cookies to all the various holiday parties we attend, so thankfully, I don't have to eat any of them. Plus, I'm more of a chocolate chip cookie guy anyway. Ha!

  8. I have to say, I have not been keeping up very well, as I have been in the throes of first trimester woes, but today I sat down to do some catching up! I sat here watching with tears streaming down my face! This was sooooo great! I am so thrilled to see that traditions go on no matter where we live or do not live at some point in our lives! Blessings to the Amsden family far and near! I love you!
